Our Story

Christ City Church exists to make and mobilize disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe the gospel changes lives, forms authentic community, and sends ordinary people on mission.
As Huntsville continues to grow, thousands of students, young professionals, military families, engineers, researchers, retirees, and young families are putting down roots in our city. We believe God is doing something special here, and we want to be a church that faithfully serves our neighbors, proclaims Christ, and helps people take their next step with Jesus.

Why We Love Huntsville

We love Huntsville because it is a city filled with opportunity, innovation, and people looking for community. Every time we take friends and family around the city, we're reminded why so many individuals and families are choosing to make this city home.

We love the students at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama A&M, Calhoun Community College, and the other college campuses who are making important decisions about their futures and searching for purpose and direction. We love seeing the energy and growth around MidCity, where people gather, build friendships, and experience the life of the city. We love the neighborhoods stretching across Madison and West Huntsville, where young families are planting roots and building their lives. And we love the military members, engineers, researchers, and innovators who serve at Redstone Arsenal and throughout Huntsville's thriving technology and aerospace industries.

More than anything, we love the people of Huntsville. Our desire is simple: to see Jesus at the center of everyone and everything.

Committed to the Next Generation

We believe the next generation matters. While we desire to be a church for every age and stage of life, we are intentionally focused on reaching and discipling college students, young adults, and young families.

Through our partnership with the Salt Network, we are investing in the next generation because we believe today's students and young adults are tomorrow's church leaders, missionaries, parents, and community leaders. Our prayer is that many would come to know Jesus in Huntsville and be sent out to make disciples wherever God takes them.
