Our Story

The idea for Christ City Church began with a simple desire: to see a Christ-centered church established in a rapidly growing area that will love the city, engage the next generation, and send people out for the mission of God.

For more than a decade, Peyton and Jordan Lee prayed about church planting. After serving two incredible established churches, they sensed God leading them to take a step of faith and help start something new. In 2024, they finally put their “yes” on the table and began gathering a team to plant Christ City Church in Huntsville in the fall of 2026.

We are part of the Salt Network, a family of churches with a vision to plant churches across North America in cities that have a large number of college students. Our heart is to see thriving churches that reach college students, disciple the next generation, and send leaders and missionaries around the world.

With its unique blend of technology, research, and education, we believe Huntsville is a strategic place to see the gospel transform lives and to send disciples to impact cities across the globe.

The University of Alabama Huntsville and other universities in the city are bringing thousands of students looking to shape the trajectory of their lives. College campuses are strategic places for gospel ministry, and we long to see students encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and become leaders who impact the world.

We believe the best environment for discipleship is a multi-generational church family, but we want to unashamedly focus on engaging and discipling the next generation.
